It has robotic equipment, laptops and desktops to support the STEM education of learners from the lower primary up to the secondary school level with comprehensive IT skills.

Similar libraries have been inaugurated at Mamfe, Dansoman and Akim Oda.

Focus

Handing over the facility at a ceremony, the head of the MTN Foundation, Robert Kuzoe, said the foundation was currently focusing on three key areas namely education, health and economic empowerment.

The objective, he said was to give Ghanaian students, particularly those in deprived areas, the same advantage as their peers in the urban areas.

The provision of the STEM library, he explained fitted into the company’s CSR focus.

Mr Kuzoe, therefore, encouraged the students to make the most of the facility.
