One injured, 10 arrested in students clash on Legon campus
One person was injured Monday following a violent clash between some students on the University of Ghana, Legon campus.
The clash was reportedly between students of the Mensah Sarbah Hall, Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana and their visiting colleagues from the Katanga Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.
The students had gathered for an intellectual debate during which things were said to have turned violent.

About 10 students have since been arrested by the police who intervened to restore sanity.
Reports said when the debate was about to start, news emerged that a video had gone viral on social media, in which a student believed to be a member of Commonwealth Hall, was being molested by another person believed to be from Katanga Hall.
When the video got to members of Commonwealth Hall, they reportedly got infuriated and descended from the hills to Mensah Sarbah Hall to rescue their colleague who was reportedly in the custody of the Katanga Boys.
Some eyewitnesses said the Commonwealth Hall students were met with resistance from members of the Mensah Sarbah Hall where the Katanga Hall students were lodging for the debate.
That was when the clashes occurred, until the police and Legon Security intervened.
