The get-together was attended by 200 children from both schools at  Dzorwulu in Accra last Friday.

Put a smile

Dubbed, “Put a smile on the face by sharing a little with someone,” the event, the sponsor, Ms Debrah said,  was conceived out of love and care for the children.

“You don’t need to get a lot of money before sharing. I believe in supporting individuals, especially the  less-privileged, mentally challenged and physically challenged. I have done this since the early 1980s,” she stated.

Ms Debrah,  is also the Director of Philo Delio Smile Foods, a food processing company that specialises in ‘Gari Instant Mix,’ products.

Gratitude

The Headmistress of the  Dzorwulu Special School, Ms Veronica Sackey, expressed gratitude to the philanthropist for the event.

“I think the gesture is a good thing, that such children get the opportunity to enjoy as others. Unfortunately, they are often neglected,” she said.

She urged other public-spirited people to support the inmates and the school.

The inmates ate, danced and made new friends.
