See the areas that will be affected by ECG's planned maintenance on September 9–10, 2025
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a schedule of planned maintenance works across several regions on Tuesday, September 9, and Wednesday, September 10, 2025, as part of efforts to improve service delivery.
In the Ashanti Region, maintenance will take place on Tuesday, September 9, between 9 am and 5 pm. Communities to be affected include Nkoranza, Kotwi, Bekwame, Sabin Akrofrom, Ntribuoho, Heman, Nketiah, Achiase, Amoaman, Asuofia, Asaman, Pokukrom, Adankwame, Adugyama, Kokoso, Adoato, Amanfrom, Ohwim, Agric Nzema, Afasiebon, Kromoase, Akyeremade, Yabi, Aburaso, Kwanwoma, Ahenkro, part of Offinso, Kodie, part of Sokoban, Mim, Bodwesango, part of Afari, Denase, Anomangye, Mpatasie, Asuogya, Mankranso, Kunsu, Dakyikrom, Gyaekontabuo, Daban, part of Apraman, and surrounding areas.
In the Western Region, residents of Tanoso, Datano, Domeabra, Punikrom, Camp, Anyinabrim, Sui, Boako, 81 & 82, Asafo, Asawinso and surrounding communities will be affected. The outage will run from 9 am to 2 pm on the same day.
The Greater Accra Region will also experience maintenance work on Tuesday, September 9, between 9 am and 5:00 pm Power supply will be interrupted in Hebron, Manhean, Oduman, New Bortianor, Adanseman, Cassava Farm, Mr Obeng Block Factory, Oshiyie, Red Top, Shiabu, Shiabu, Gbegbeyise Beach Road, and nearby areas.
In the Tema Region, works on Tuesday, September 9, from 9 am to 4 pm, will affect Kpong, Nuaso, Kpongwunor, Odumase, Kojonya, Atua, Sawer, Somanya, Adjei Kojo, Sydal Farms, Japan City, Community 24, Akuaba Estates, Manet Gardens, Coastal Estates and surrounding areas.
For the Eastern Region, Nkawkaw, Abepotia, Pankese, Bramkrom, Wusiwusi and Wawase will be affected by power interruptions between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9.
On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the Greater Accra Region will again be affected between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Areas include Teshie, Kitase, Nkonkondru, Jankama, Tuba, Kokrobite, Old Bortianor, Old Aplaku, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie, Ayikai, Doblo and surrounding areas.
The Tema Region will also see outages the same day, with maintenance running from 9 am to 4 pm. Communities affected include Community 18, Washing Bay, Devtraco, Koi Larbi, Santor, Aunty Araba, Agbeshie Laryea, Kubekro, Nelplast, Level 400 and their environs.
In separate statements, ECG expressed regret for the inconvenience the exercise may cause and assured customers that the works are necessary to improve the reliability and efficiency of power supply across the country.
