Society for Disabled supports Muslims
The Society for the Assistance for Orphans and Disabled (SAFOAD), a non-governmental organisation, has donated assorted food items worth hundreds of Ghana cedis and cash to Islamic organisations and mosques to help Muslims during the Ramadan.
The food items included bags of rice and sugar, cartons of milk and tea bags.

The beneficiary organisations and mosques in the Greater Accra, Eastern, Central and Volta regions are expected to distribute the food items to needy Muslims.
The Executive Director of SAFOAD, Hajj Abubakar Yakubu Batalima, said Muslims required food before the start of the fast and after breaking their fast every day.
The food and cash donation was therefore meant to ease the burden on needy Muslims.
Hajj Batalima asked Muslims to use the Ramadan to pray to Allah to continue blessing the country with peace and development.
