Established in 2005, the school has made progress over the years to become one of the best private senior high schools in the Volta Region and accredited by the Ghana Education Service (GES) as a grade “A” school.

Excellence

Addressing the graduation ceremony, the Managing Director of a fast food company in Ho, KCS, Madam Susan Kudjoe, said the school was gradually and steadily promoting holistic education that combined academic, moral and Christian excellence for the total development of the students.

She advised the students to take advantage of the opportunities they encountered in life, stressing that the choices they made at every stage of life determined the trajectory or path to follow in life and it could be a path that led to success or frustration.

Madam Kudjoe said they should choose a path which would make them create their own jobs, but not to chase non-existent white collar jobs, and urged them to believe in their potential to become future employers and not employees.

She said starting a business was not easy but its success was achievable through hard work, and that they should remain  focused, manage their time effectively and efficiently, and be innovative to provide quality products and services.

Policies

In an address, the administrator of the school, Mr Cletus Benyebaar, said despite the fact that recent policies had made it  impossible for private schools to compete for students with good grades from junior high schools, the school continued to shape the student such that they performed creditably at the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), and that 60 per cent of them got admission to tertiary institutions.

He appealed to the government to forge stronger partnerships with private high schools in their effort to deliver quality education to the people and added, “private high schools are not competitors with public high schools, we are partners and therefore deserve better recognition as we work to improve education in Ghana”.

Awards

He announced that the school had instituted an awards scheme called the Richmond Best Student award, sponsored by  Clarence and Valle Richmond of Searchy Arkansas in the United States of America and that $700 of the $1,000 award was given to the best students in the WASSCE and $300 to the second best student.

He said the award was meant for the payment of first year university admission fees and so it was offered upon the presentation of an admission letter from an accredited university.
