Akufo-Addo to conclude ‘Rise and Build Tour’
The 2016 flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will conclude the last leg of the first phase of his “Rise and Build Tour” of the country.
This will take him to the Brong Ahafo and Ashanti regions and end in the Greater Accra Region.
A statement signed by Mr Eugene Arhin, Press Secretary to the flag bearer stated that this week, Nana Akufo-Addo will storm the party’s stronghold, the Ashanti Region to conclude the last leg of the first phase of the “Rise and Build Tour.” Before that, he is expected to be in the Brong Ahafo Region today.
Itinerary
In the three regions, he will, among others, hold meetings with regional and constituency executives, as well as with aspirants in the NPP parliamentary primaries, both winners and losers, in order to foster cooperation among them as the basis for a successful 2016 campaign.
The month-long tour, which began on September 3, 2015, has seen him visit seven regions so far – Volta, Eastern, Upper West, Upper East, Northern, Western and Central.
Agyepong off to UK
Relatedly, the General Secretary of the NPP, Mr Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has left Accra to attend the annual Conservative Party Conference in the UK.
The four-day conference is expected to bring all the Conservative Party members, sympathisers and sister parties across the globe together.
This is to enable them to solidarise among themselves, strengthen their collaboration and dialogue for the progress of the Conservative Party and its sister parties.
Mr Agyepong, while on the official trip, will engage with the NPP UK/Ireland branch in his bid to deepen the relationship between the external branches and national office.
