AUDIO: President Kufour on JB Danquah
Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor has described the late Ghanaian statesman, Dr JB Danquah, as a ‘one man thousand’.

Speaking Wednesday at an event held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of JB Danquah’s death at the Accra International Conference Centre, Ex-President Kufuor said from the 1920s to the 1940s, the member of the legendary ‘Big Six’ single-handedly wrote petitions and gave lectures to “awaken the consciousness of the people occupying the territory that became Ghana to ask for a dignified form of governance – self-governance”.
“JB Danguah belongs to Ghana; he irrefutably played a titanic role in the making of our nation that we are all part of today,” Ex-President Kufuor stated.
