EC resumes collation of parliamentary results in Tema Central
Officials from the Electoral Commission (EC) have resumed the collation of parliamentary ballots in the Tema Central Constituency after the process was suspended on Sunday, December 8, 2024, due to disturbances at Chemu Senior High School.
The Tema Metropolitan Director of the EC, Manasseh Ofosuhene Asante, explained that the process was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was brought forward to Monday following a directive from the Regional Director.

The ballots will now be collated and transmitted to Accra for further processing.
Both parliamentary candidates, Charles Forson of the New Patriotic Party and Ebi Bright of the National Democratic Congress, along with their agents, were present at the Regional Police Headquarters in Tema, where the collation took place.
Also in attendance were Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Titus-Glover, former MP for Tema Central Kofi Brako, Greater Accra NDC Regional Chairman Divine Aghorhom, NDC Women's Organiser Dr Hannah Louisa Bissiw, the NDC Tema Central Constituency Chairman Benjamin Dzakuma and the representative of the Independent candidate, Fredrick Aniagyei.
The collation process took place under a heavy security presence, with party supporters from both sides gathering outside the gates to witness the proceedings.
