The National Youth Wing donated GHc175,000.00 and 4,000 posters to each of the 33 constituencies in the Eastern Region, the home region of the National Youth Organiser and the Chairman of the Youth Working Committee.

It aimed at complementing ongoing efforts to mobilise grass-roots support for the party in the region to consolidate the party’s gains in the upcoming general election.

The donation was made at an NDC Eastern Region Stakeholder meeting at Peduase in the Akuapim South Municipality of the Eastern Region last Tuesday.

Also present at the meeting were the Vice-Presidential Candidate of  the NDC, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang; the Chairman of the Vice-President’s Campaign Team, Alex Segbefia; the Eastern Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mark Oliver Kevor, and other executive of the party in the region.

Emphasis

Speaking at the event, Mr Opare Addo emphasised the importance of resourcing the Eastern Region considered a traditionally challenging stronghold for the NDC, and highlighted the youth wing’s commitment to the party's success.

"This is just the beginning; we will continue to mobilise resources and intensify our campaign efforts to ensure the NDC makes significant gains in the Eastern Region in this year’s elections for victory," he said.

Mr Mintah, for his part, reiterated the commitment of the youth wing to deliver victory for the party, especially in the Eastern Region, and further pledged his support to the NDC Eastern Regional Office.

Commendation

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed gratitude to the National Youth leadership of the party for their timely intervention, underscoring the importance of unity and collective action within the party.

She called on all the party’s rank and file in the region and the country at large, to double their efforts as the campaign entered a crucial phase; adding that the party must remain united and very focused on propagating its message to the electorate to endorse the NDC resoundingly in the December polls.
