NDC Youth Wing holds national thanksgiving to celebrate election victory

The youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), last Sunday, held a national thanksgiving worship and praise service to celebrate the party’s victory in the December 7 general election.

Filled with euphoria and excitement as members blew vuvuzelas and whistles, and waved handkerchiefs and party flags amid singing and dancing, the members expressed their gratitude to God for the re-election of John Dramani Mahama back to the presidency.

It was a time for the youth wing to renew their support to the incoming NDC administration and dedicate the country, its leaders and the youth to God for peace, prosperity and stability after the election.

The ecstatic atmosphere was enhanced by performances from gospel artistes such as Jack Alolome, Nacee, Uncle Ato, Piesie Esther, Kofi Peprah, Bernice Ansah, Perez Musik, Dr Danso Abbeam and Bethel Revival Choir, among others.

Also present were party stalwarts and executives, including the National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah; former Foreign Affairs Minister, Hannah Tetteh; Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George; MP for Okaikwei South, Theresa Awuni and MP for Madina, Francis Xavier Sosu.

Leading prayer and exhortation sessions were clergymen such as the Leader of the Prophetic Hill Church, Prophet Nigel Gaisie; the Founder of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) Worldwide, Reverend Francis Nana Agyei Antwi, also known as Rev. Obofour; Bishop Joel Danquah Williams and Rev. Dr Albert Agbi.

Prayers

In a short exhortation, Prophet Gaisie led the group to pray for divine help to remove any barriers that could disrupt President-elect Mahama’s inauguration on January 7, 2025.

“We trust God to cancel every plan of the enemy from now until January 7. This victory is assured and what God has started will be completed,” he added.

Prophet Gaisie urged Ghanaians to come together in prayer to ensure a smooth transition of leadership and safeguard the nation’s future, encouraging Ghanaians, especially the youth, to seize the opportunities the new government would bring, such as the “Women’s Bank and the 24-Hour Economy Policy,” to rebuild themselves and the country.

Assurance

The National Chairman, Mr Nketiah, commended the youth wing for their hard work during the campaign and assured them of the NDC’s ability to fulfil its promises to Ghanaians.

“We owe this victory to the determination of the youth. This country belongs to you, and you refused to let your future be derailed,” Mr Nketiah said.

However, our victory is certain.”
