LEKMA gets new MCE
A former Constituency Women Organiser at Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA), Madam Adjeley Twum Gyamerah has been endorsed as the Chief Executive for the municipality.
The President’s nominee polled 33 out of the 33 votes cast, representing 100 per cent of the ballot which was more than the two-thirds votes needed to carry the day.

The voting exercise which took place last Monday in Accra was supervised by the Greater Accra Regional Electoral Commission Officer, Mr Kwame Amoah.
After her confirmation by Mr Amoah, and seconded by some of the assembly members, Madam Twum Gyamerah declared “I am here to foster the development agenda of our President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to make our municipality and Ghana work again.”
She announced that she would ensure unity to engender the progress of the municipality.
“I assure the good people of Teshie and Nungua, that we will work together to bring progress to the municipality, execute the President’s Agenda and I will ensure that as an MCE of LEKMA. If it must be done, it must be done well and I expect all to get involved,” she added.
She expressed appreciation to President Akufo-Addo for nominating her as the MCE for LEKMA.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic, the Assembly Man for Baatsona Electoral Area and the Presiding Member of LEKMA, Mr Alfred F. Addo said that the assemblies were ready to work with her for progress.

“We realised that she has got a lot of experience and as a mother we believe that if we confirm her she will bring her experience and her motherhood to bear on the job and that is why we confirmed her,” he said.
