NPP needs spirit of togetherness — Afoko
The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Paul Awentami Afoko, has advised aspirants and delegates of the party to let the spirit of togetherness permeate the zeal with which they conduct themselves during today’s primaries.
‘’We go into these primaries with great expectations from ourselves and the people of Ghana, and I wish to advise all that the spirit of togetherness should permeate the zeal with which we conduct ourselves during the primaries,’’ he stated.

In a statement on the upcoming primaries, the National Chairman stressed, ‘’This is another opportunity for us to demonstrate our strong democratic culture and I believe we will shine again.’’
In this quest, he reminded NPP members to bear in mind that they were in search of candidates who would project the true values of the party and respond to the critical needs of their people.
Mr Afoko said the party should elect candidates who represent the genuine will of the people and could win their seats convincingly as well as win more votes for the presidential candidate.
The National Chairman, therefore, admonished all to conduct their activities during this period with circumspection and goodwill.
He also called on the elected candidates to show magnanimity in their victory and let those who fail to get the nod of the delegates be graceful in defeat.
“Bear in mind that there are other equally meaningful ways for them to serve the party,” he stated.
He concluded by wishing all the aspirants good luck, saying may “God bless us all and keep us united”.
