Rashid Pelpuo retains Wa Central seat

Dr Abdul-Rashid Ahassan Pelpuo of the NDC has successfully retained the Wa Central Constituency seat. He received 38,579 votes, defeating his closest rival, Hajia Humu Awudu of the NPP, who garnered 30,724 votes.
Yakubu Zakaria of the PNC secured 249 votes while independent candidate Rasheed Saeed earned 132 votes.

In the presidential race, John Dramani Mahama claimed a decisive victory, receiving 50,354 votes compared to Dr. Bawumia’s 17,753 votes.
