Volta Regional House of Chiefs congratulates Mahama
The Volta Region House of Chiefs (VRHC) has congratulated the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama on his victory in the 2024 Presidential elections, saying the voting pattern bore testimony to his unwavering dedication to the nation, and trust the Ghanaian people have placed in him.
The President of the House, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, in a statement issued on Friday, January 3, 2024 stated: “Truly, your leadership has always been characterised by a profound commitment to unity, inclusivity, and progress for all society.”
The statement said the VRHC was encouraged by Mr Mahama’s vision for Ghana, which aligned with the people’s aspirations for development, peace, and prosperity in the Volta Region.
It said the Volta Region played a significant role in the cultural and economic heritage of Ghana; and as outlined during Mr Mahama’s interaction with the house during recent his campaign, the region deserved its fair share of priorities.
“We want to urge you to consider our sons and daughters in forming your team, and to ensure the region was represented adequately in doing so.
“They serve as role models for the youth in the region, and will undoubtedly support you to achieve your aims,” the statement added.
Further, it said, the house looked forward to working collaboratively with Mr Mahama’s administration to address the challenges and opportunities ahead.
“We believe that under your guidance, we can foster development that aligns with the needs of our people, ensuring that no community is left behind,” said the statement.
It pledged the full support and goodwill of VRHC to Mr Mahama in his tenure and wished him great success in his endeavours and looked forward to witnessing the positive impact of his leadership in the years to come.
“May your tenure bring about positive change and enduring prosperity for our beloved nation,” the statement concluded.
