Hearts draw again

An improved Accra Hearts of Oak yesterday missed an opportunity to pick the maximum three points against Dormaa-based Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium to move to the summit as Wa All Stars drew with  Ashantigold in Wa.

Strikers Cosmos Dauda, Patrick Razak and midfielder Samudeen Ibrahim, who many expected to lead the hunt to secure the all-important win for the team, wasted all  the chances created.

Portuguese-born coach, Sergio Daniel Monz Traguil, looked dejected on the touchline as his hope for the  victory that would win him the affection of the supporters, who seemed to have lost hope in the team after the sudden departure of his predecessor Kenichi Yatsuhashi, was shattered.

The Aduana side, also guided by their expatriate coach, Ciaoba Aristica, matched the Phobians boot for boot securing a number of free kicks with one of them taken by their talisman Yahaya Mohammed missing the target.

Occasionally, the combination of Zakaria Mumuni, Yahaya Mohammed, Godfred Saka and Bright Adjei threatened the competency of goalkeeper Soulama Abdulaye, who returned to the post yesterday nearly two months after his infamous  goalkeeping blunder gifted arch rivals Asante Kotoko a goal.

After recess, Coach Traguil introduced strikers Sam Yeboah, Musah Ibrahim and Paul Acquah, who darmatically changed the pace of the game, mounting pressure on the visitors in their half but they failed to get the needed win.
