A combat between two heavyweights in the ping-pong fraternity saw the Ghana Navy thrash their Army counterparts 3-0 in the ongoing Table Tennis League staged at the Media Centre of the Accra Stadium last Saturday.

Sattout Omar stable’s Mr K, was once again the runaway winner in last Saturday’s Division 3B invitation race of the Whitsun Race Meeting, winning by almost four lengths for her first overjoyed trainer Samuel Bampoh Botchway at the Accra Turf Club (ATC) at Ashaley Botwe, near the University Farms.

Attram re-joined Olympics during the second half of the 2014/2015 Ghana Premier League season and decided to stay even after the club was relegated.

The maiden Indomie Youth and Junior Inter-Club Weightlifting competition takes place tomorrow at the National Weightlifting Training Centre at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The competition, which is aimed at exposing weightlifting as a sporting discipline to as many school going kids as possible, is expected to attract about 40 young weightlifters representing various clubs across the country.
