Accra Hearts of Oak’s Scottish coach, Frank Nuttal, says the Phobians can do without four key stars whose contract extension negotiations have stirred controversy in the club in the past weeks.

Despite reports that Hearts board chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, is making overtures towards the return of Vincent Atinga and Kwame Kizito especially, Coach Nuttal insists that his team was fine without the duo and that he would rather focus on strengthening the squad with new players.

US-based athlete Emmanuel Dasor has graduated from the Western Kentucky University with a degree in Business Administration.

Dasor, who has represented Ghana in the 200 metres and 400 metres at the African Championships, Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games, is among a number of Ghanaian athletes on sporting scholarships in the USA secured by the Ghana Athletics Association.

The president of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Ben Nunoo Mensah, has made a passionate appeal to the Ministry of Youth and Sports to act fast to save the career of Ghana’s sole Youth Olympics gold medalist, Martha Bissah, in the supreme interests of Ghana athletics.

The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), has imposed a fine of US$6000 on the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), for fielding an unqualified player in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

In addition to the fine, FIFA also annulled the 1:1 score line in the said game between Algeria and Nigeria on November 10, 2017 and subsequently awarded a 3:0 score line instead, in favor of Algeria.
