Three Ghanaian pro golfers are in Equatorial Guinea to participate in the 2017 Mongomo Golf Championship.

Vincent Torgah, the 2017 West Africa Champion of Tema Country Golf Club, Emos Korblah of Achimota Golf Club and Kojo Barnni, who won the just-ended Gold Fields Championship at Damang, near Tarkwa, are representing at the international competition which tees off today and ends on Sunday.

Newly-signed Aduana Stars defender Hafiz Adams has said he had no difficulty in settling on the Premier League champions as the best place to continue his career after taking the decision to leave Wa All Stars.

The president of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Ben Nunoo Mensah, has made a passionate appeal to the Ministry of Youth and Sports to act fast to save the career of Ghana’s sole Youth Olympics gold medalist, Martha Bissah, in the supreme interests of Ghana athletics.

The GOC boss said Martha had a lot of potential which could be beneficial to the country and therefore the ministry must not allow individual interests to destroy the young athlete’s future.

The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), has imposed a fine of US$6000 on the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), for fielding an unqualified player in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

In addition to the fine, FIFA also annulled the 1:1 score line in the said game between Algeria and Nigeria on November 10, 2017 and subsequently awarded a 3:0 score line instead, in favor of Algeria.

Ghana's Under-20 female football team, the Black Princesses, have resumed camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram in preparation for their final round qualifier for the 2018 Women's World Cup.

The Princesses, after eliminating Kenya, went on a two-week break, leading to the invitation of 23 players by the head coach, Yusif Basigi, to prepare for the final qualifier against Cameroun.
