The four, who are being sponsored by ITF on the Touring Team Players Grant, are Maclean Atsu Dzidzienyo, Emmanuel Yaw Boateng, Bernice Frimpong, and Bridget Nartey.

According to Mr Henry Larbi, National Coordinator of Ghana Wheelchair Tennis, this is the first international individual player ITF competition. “The purpose is to build ranking point for Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games”, he stated.

The tournament is scheduled to run from June 28, 2015 to July 1, 2015.

The players are therefore expected to have their final training session this morning at the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis Court before departure. Unfortunately, they will be participating in the tournament without their two national coaches due to lack of funds.
