All eyes on Group A as UG Corporate League resumes after Eid break
The 2026 University of Ghana Corporate Football League resumes this Friday after a short break to observe Eid, with organisers promising another round of thrilling encounters as the competition enters its sixth week.
After five weeks of action-packed matches, attention now shifts to Group A, with all fixtures scheduled to take place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra, where fans are expected to witness a full evening of competitive football.
The opening match will see Lancaster Accra take on the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration in what is anticipated to be a tightly contested game. Bui Power Authority will then face GOIL PLC, before the Ghana Football Association comes up against the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation in a fixture widely tipped as one of the standout clashes of the evening.

The University of Ghana will later engage Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club (GAFOSC), a match expected to draw significant support from the home crowd, while Stanbic Bank Ghana rounds off the night with a tie against the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
Kick-off for the matches is set for 5 p.m., with organisers encouraging fans to turn out in large numbers to support their respective teams as the race for qualification intensifies.
The competition, which has steadily gained prominence as a platform for corporate institutions to engage in sport and wellness, is sponsored by several organisations, including Perla Mineral Water, TCL, Glico General Insurance and Wilmar Africa, with production led by the University of Ghana Sports and Wellness Directorate in partnership with RITE Sports Services.
With the league entering a crucial stage, teams will be aiming to secure vital points as they position themselves strongly for the latter phases of the competition.
