Appiah left Accra yesterday afternoon with Coach Prince Owusu, who is also set to  sign a two-year deal as the fitness and assistant trainer of the Sudanese side.

According to GNA Sports sources, Appiah will conclude final talks with Al Khartoum to  formalise the switch on Thursday to begin work after which  Appiah, the only Ghanaian to qualify the Black Stars to the World Cup, is expected to begin his new challenge, in January 2015, with the side keen on counting on his expertise in their quest to impress at the continental club competitions.

Al Khartoum finished fourth in the 2014 Sudanese Premier League and will feature in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup.

A source told GNA Sports that “Kwesi has been offered a two-year contract with an option to consider other interest whenever he deemed it necessary.

“He will be concluding the final details in the next few days and sign what will see him earn double of his first year wages if he is still interested in continuing after a year in charge.”

Meanwhile, Owusu, who has abrogated his contract with last season’s Confederation Cup campaigners, Medeama SC, is expected to assist Appiah.

This is the first time Appiah, 54, will be coaching a side outside Ghana
