The two former IBF world champions were to headline the bill scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium, with middleweight Clottey and bantamweight Agbeko set to fight Brazilian Anderson Clayton and Filipino brawler Cris Alfante respectively in non-title bouts.

According to a press statement jointly signed by Eben Noye of FKE and Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye of BOSP, the two promotional outfits are working on a new date and further details will be announced in due course.

The statement said, "Ghanaian boxing lovers should be assured that the promoters as well as the two former world champions, Joseph Agbeko and Joshua Clottey, are committed to delivering a historic boxing event.”

"Clottey and Agbeko are prepared and will be ready to showcase their best boxing artistry to their Ghanaian fans once a new date has been decided on.”

"The organisers apologise for any disappointment and inconveniences this change of date may have caused."

Other boxers originally billed to fight on Legendary Night Boxing included Emmanuel "Game Boy" Tagoe who was to make a mandatory defence of his WBA international lightweight title against Mzonke Fane from South Africa.
