Dave Bishop begins boxing partnership with Prince De-Henry School

A new chapter has began for Prince De-Henry Educational Complex following the formal introduction of CEO/President of Bishop  Boxing Promotions, Dr Dave Bishop as Co-Director and Executive Chairman, marking the start of a strategic partnership expected to strengthen the school’s academic, sporting and leadership development agenda.

The unveiling formed the centrepiece of the school’s 25th anniversary celebrations at its premises in Laterbiokoshie, Accra on Saturday August 1, an occasion that reflected on a quarter-century of educational excellence while embracing an ambitious vision for the future.

The ceremony attracted education stakeholders, parents, students, alumni and traditional leaders, highlighting the institution’s growing influence within the community.

Dr Bishop’s introduction follows his recent appointment as Executive Chairman and Co-Director of Strategic Development and Institutional Partnerships, a role that positions him to spearhead initiatives aimed at transforming Prince De-Henry into a centre of excellence that combines quality education with  sports development and innovation.

His appointment was formally acknowledged by Obrempong Nii Wetse Kojo and Paramount Chief of James Town, Fleshier Alata, whose presence symbolised the confidence traditional authorities have in the school’s new direction and leadership.

The partnership is expected to deliver a number of transformational projects, including the establishment of a modern  boxing gym, an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre, scholarship opportunities, vocational education programmes and a boxing education certificate course designed to equip young people with practical skills alongside academic learning.

School authorities described the collaboration as a significant milestone that aligns with Prince De-Henry’s long-standing commitment to producing disciplined, confident and socially responsible graduates capable of making meaningful contributions to national development.

Speaking during the anniversary celebrations, officials reaffirmed their commitment to building an institution that nurtures academic achievement, leadership, entrepreneurship and sporting excellence under the new partnership.

As Prince De-Henry Educational Complex embarks on its next 25 years, stakeholders believe the collaboration with Dr. Bishop will accelerate the school’s growth through strategic partnerships, infrastructure development and expanded opportunities for students.

The anniversary therefore served not only as a celebration of past achievements but also as the official launch of a partnership expected to shape the future of one of Ghana’s emerging educational institutions.
