GFA charges Hearts
The Ghana Football Association(GFA) has charged Accra Hearts of Oak on three counts for their violent conduct in their 3-1 home defeat to Wa All Stars last Sunday.
The Phobians were said to have breached Articles 58 and 59 of the GFA Disciplinary Code and Articles 35(1)(a), 35(3)(b), 35(4), 35(7)(a) and 35(7)(d) of the GFA General Regulations.
Hearts supporters threw water bottles and other objects at assistant Referee two, Freeman Anwulo and onto the field of play.
According to the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA, the behaviour of Hearts supporters resulted in a hold up of play for about six minutes in violation of GFA Regulations.
Besides all these, when the match officials were walking to the dressing room during recess, water bottles were hurled at them.
It stated ,”anytime a decision goes against your club, your supporters threw water bottles and other objects at the two assistant referees and onto the field of play in violation of the GFA Regulations”.
It also charged Hearts for throwing water bottles, stones and other objects at match officials and the security men escorting them to the dressing room immediately after the match.
