Ghana will face Cote d'Ivoire in the opening match of the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

This was announced yesterday after the draw at the CAF headquarters in Cairo.
The home-based Black Stars will host their Ivorian counterparts in the first leg on October 16, 17 or 18 before going away for the second leg between October 23, 24, 25.
Coach Maxwell Konadu's side will step up preparations when they participate in the COSAFA Cup tournament in South Africa as guests.
Ghana placed second at the 2014 edition of the CHAN after losing on penalties to Libya in South Africa.
