“Agbesimah is a Timber Giant. We are delighted to announce that experienced center-back Kofi Agbesimah has joined us permanently on a two-year deal from Accra Hearts of Oak."
“His acquisition will ultimately invigorate the defense with unmatched experience,” the statement read.
The 28-year-old joined Hearts of Oak from Bechem United last season and quickly became an integral part of the team.
His solid performances and leadership earned him the captaincy in March 2024.
Agbesimah’s move to FC Samartex is a notable one as the Samreboi-based side prepares for their debut CAF Champions League campaign following their Ghana Premier League triumph.
Hearts of Oak, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, are expected to make significant changes to their squad ahead of the new season.

The club had to secure a critical win against Bechem United on the final day to retain their top-flight status.
