Hearts to appeal decision in favour of Duncan
Accra Hearts of Oak are set to appeal against the decision by the Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for ordering them to pay their former coach, David Duncan, an amount of $40000 for wrongful dismissal.
Duncan, who was fired in November last year by the club’s board of directors, dragged the club to the GFA for redress.
But the Phobians are unhappy with the decision and insist the club has been handed a raw deal, particularly when they have taken steps to settle all outstanding monetary issues with the coach.
Muheeb Saeed, the Public Relations Officer of the club, insists: “We see the decision of the GFA as unfair so as a club, we intend to appeal against the ruling.”
Speaking to the Daily Graphic , Muheeb disclosed that “Although, we haven’t written formally to the GFA because we are still having our internal consultaion we are certainly going to appeal against the decision.”
“We hopefully intend to officially write to the GFA by the end of next week and then take it from there”, he stated.
