The squad is made up of five players who featured at the 2015 Afcon in January — unattached goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi, Antoni Mavoungou, Sagesse Babélé, Pavelh Ndzila as well as Auxerre duo Hardy Alain Samarange and Charlevy Mabiala.

The Congo Under-23s will begin a training camp in Pointe-Noire from May 12.

Le Roy will prune his squad to 23 before travelling to Ghana for the first leg set for the Tamale Stadium on the weekend of May 22-24. Congo will host Ghana in the reverse on the weekend of June 5-7.

Ghana beat Liberia 7-1 on aggregate in the first round to set up the date with the Red Devils.
