Point three of the NDC sports development read "to pursue our long-standing policy of establishing international standard stadia in all regions."
In addition to constructing new stadia, the NDC plans to refurbish existing facilities that are currently inadequate for their intended purposes.
"Undertake emergency refurbishment of pitches, tracks and other facilities at our national stadia in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Cape Coast and Sekondi to meet FIFA standards."
The party has committed to "ensure equitable investments in other national teams, such as women’s football teams, parasports teams, juvenile teams, and lesser-known sports."
The party has also pledged to support and develop sports talents by providing scholarships to help ensure successful careers. Also, the John Dramani Mahama-led party has announced a special package for retired athletes.
Portions of the manifesto launched today read: "Offer scholarships to promising sports talents" and "support retired sports personalities in pursuing other sports-related careers after an active sporting life."
