Moments after winning the mandate to serve another four-year term, Nyantakyi, who has been the FA president since 2006, said he was amendable for reform and change and would play an active role to see such changes in football.

According to him, he was in support for the call for leaders serve fixed terms and would play an active role when the time comes.

" The proposal to have some reforms in FIFA, notably to have fixed terms for presidents and other executive members were rejected at the previous two congresses, but after what has recently happened to football's world governing body, most people may have a change of mind and support it.

"I'm amendable to reform and change. I'm for any change that will improve on the game and will definitely lead the crusade for reforms i

Though he intends to lead the crusade, the president, who is also an Executive Committee member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), said he had no plans to contest for the FIFA presidency when the current president, Sepp Blatter steps down next February, contrary to calls from his admirers to run.

"Though my focus is to see the further progress and development of football at all levels, I have no plans to contest the FIFA presidency.
"For now it's not in plans and I think it's not my time. If it's God's plan for me to get there, I know when that time comes, He will let me know," he said.
