Otabil to lead Life Walk Saturday

The General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church ( ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil, will lead an estimated 6,000 people, comprising members of the church and other fitness enthusiasts to undertake this year’s Life Walk on Saturday.

The annual fitness event aims at promoting the health and physical well-being of participants and church members and raising funds for charity.

It will be preceded by an an aerobics and warm-up session at 5:00a.m. at Christ Temple at Abossey Okai, the starting point, followed by a 12-kilometre walk from the Mortuary

Road to the High Street in Accra through CEPS,TUC, Graphic Road , Obetsebi Lamptey Circle and back to the Christ Temple.

The proceeds to be obtained from this year's event would be shared between the Children's Cancer Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, which the church has adopted for the past five years and Central Aid, ICGC’s educational trust, which has provided scholarships to hundreds of brilliant needy students at the senior high school level since 1988.
