The youngster had been relishing an appearance in the rainbow shirt against Kotoko the moment he signed for the Phobians.

“For me playing in a big game such as Monday’s encounter between the two biggest clubs in Ghana has been a childhood dream”,he told Kumasi-based Boss FM yesterday.

But a nagging injury he sustained in his debut against New Edubiase has kept him out of action since February.

The 19-year-old has been under rehabilitation for the past two months and has beedn ruled out of the big game on Monday.

The talented former King Solomon attacking midfielder says he's disappointed to have missed the clash due to the setback.

‘’I’m very disappointed that I will miss the game but injuries are part of the game and you cannot do anything about it.

“But I thank God that I have recovered. I hope I will play in our next game.

I believe Hearts have players who are capable and poised to win”, he stressed.

Meanwhile, Samudeen was last Tuesday declared fit by Dr Albert Bulley, an orthopedic specialist at the Ridge Hospital, after being in Plaster of Paris (POP) for four weeks .

He has now started running along the beach as part of his rehabilitation.

In a telephone interview yesterday, Samudeen said “The POP has been taken off so now I am free. The doctor said I should start training at the beach so I have started and I feel good about it. I am still taking my drugs because I want to be fully healed by the time I join my team mates”, he said.

“I don’t think I will play on Monday but I am sure I will be on the pitch during our next match against Berekum Chelsea”, he added.
