Stanbic launches ‘Swipe to Brazil’ promo
Stanbic Bank yesterday unveiled the ‘Swipe to Brazil’ promotion in which two customers will get an all-expenses-paid trip to watch Ghana’s World Cup game against Portugal in Brazil.
All it requires to qualify for the promotion is the bank’s Visa Card, which should be swiped in payment for goods and services and the customer with the highest swipe wins the life-time opportunity.
The Chief Executive of the Bank, Mr Alhassan Andani, at the launch, explained that the idea was to gradually replace cash payment for goods and services with the use of electric on cards.
“Globally, no one goes out paying with cash, everybody now pays with cards,” he noted, adding that it was a great moment to be associated with football, which is the passion of the nation.
Benjamin Mensah, Head of personal Banking, added that winners would have the opportunity to fly with their partners accommodated in a four-star hotel, as well as enjoy a group tour with other winners, category two stadium tickets and a card with $150 spending money.
He urged customers to take advantage of the competition, which ends in April, to swipe as many times as they wanted to win the trip.
Mr Sam Botchwey, Head of Investment banking, added that Stanbic was going to launch a campaign that would offer customers very exciting packages, including one which will offer them a feel of Brazil.
