Coach Avram Grant made four changes to the side that defeated Mozambique 3-1 in their first leg encounter at the Accra Stadium earlier last Thursday.

Italy-based Alfred Duncan, Jeffrey Schlupp of Leicester City,Emmanuel Agyeman Badu who captained the team, and Ebenezer Assifuah (FC Sion) were handed the opportunity to play.

The Stars carried the game to their opponents right from kick-off with Assifuah failing to put the Ghanaians ahead in the 10th minute as his connection to Harrison Afful's volley went wide.

Jordan Ayew in the 21st minute rounded the Mozambique goalkeeper but was flagged offside.

Mozambique reacted few minutes later but Eliase Pelembe with only goalkeeper Razak Brimah in sight shot wide.

The Stars came back strongly in the second half but Ayew and subsititute Majeed Waris, who came on for Assifuah, took turns to miss a couple of chances that came Ghana’s way.
