A thrilling encounter between the Ghana Navy and the Army marked the second week of this year’s Ghana table tennis league at the Media Centre of the Accra Stadium last Saturday.

However, the resilience of the Navy side gave them a 3-0 win to improve their standing on the league ladder.

Ghana Army, however, had their woes further worsened when Police thrashed them 3-1 in their second match of the day.

In other first round matches, Immigration thrashed Tesano Spinners 3-0, while Madina Club suffered 0-3 in the hands of Koforidua White Loopers.

Synergy Club of Mamprobi made lightwork of EMEFS with a 3-1 victory, while GRA Customs division defeated Asante Monetary County 3-0.

In the rest of the first round matches, Fire Service beat Ashaiman Power Club 3-0, Prisons Service thrashed King Royal Academy 3-0 and the Navy won 3-0 against Team Baboo.

Immigration defeated Koforidua White Loopers 3-0 in the second round; Madina Club lost 0-3 to Asante Monetary Country, while EMEFS won 3-0 against Tesano Spinners.

In other matches, Synergy won 3-0 against Ashaiman Power Club, GRA Customs division hammered Kings Royal Academy 3-0, while Prisons defeated Team Baboo 3-2.
