What Mike Tyson's children do for a living

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson's children have pursued diverse careers, ranging from music and fashion to photography and sports, showcasing their individual talents.

Tyson, 58, has seven biological children and one adopted child from three marriages and other relationships. Despite his US$30 million fortune, the former heavyweight champion has affirmed that he would not provide financial handouts to his children and instead encouraged them to make a living on their own.

His eldest daughter, Michael "Miki" Lorna Tyson, was born in 1990 to Tyson and Kimberly Scarborough. Named after Tyson's nickname and his mother, Lorna Smith Tyson, Miki has built a career as a plus-size model and singer, People reported.

In 2016, Miki told Queen Size magazine about growing up with her famous boxer father.

"He's the only father I've ever known, so I have no other basis of comparison," she said. "My life has been extremely blessed because of my father, and I just want to acknowledge him as the great dad he has always been."

She released a single called "Love Me Gain" in October 2022, which Tyson praised and called her a talented singer-songwriter.

Ramsey Tyson, born Rayna, is Tyson's child with his second wife, Monica Turner. Ramsey transitioned from female to male and maintains a private life. Tyson publicly acknowledged Ramsey as his transgender daughter during a 2022 podcast. Ramsey studied at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and has participated in several filmmaking projects, including the highly-acclaimed "Joker".

Amir Tyson, born in 1997, is Tyson's second child with Monica. He played baseball while studying journalism in college and later launched a clothing line.

Despite not following his father into boxing, Amir has expressed admiration for Tyson's legendary career. "At my age, you were already the undisputed heavyweight champion," Amir wrote on Instagram along with a photo of Tyson in his prime.

Miguel Tyson, born in 2002 to Tyson and Sol Xochitl, showed talent in boxing during his youth but pursued a career in photography and videography instead. He runs Miguel Lion Media and works as a travel photographer. In September, Miguel co-organized a charity event with Michael Jackson's son Prince. Miguel is also an accomplished pianist.

Miguel's younger sister, Exodus, tragically passed away in 2009 at just four years old after her neck got caught in a treadmill cord at home. Tyson struggled to cope following Exodus' death, calling the tragedy "a dark moment" in his life, Reuters reported.

"I am in denial, because I don't know how to handle it," he said. "I have become a member of an exclusive club no one wants to join. I have been told the pain never stops but you get over it."

In honor of his late daughter, Tyson wore shorts embroidered with her name during his recent fight against Jake Paul.

With his current wife, Lakiha Spicer, whom he married in 2009, Tyson has two more children. Their eldest, Milan Miyla, born in 2008, is a promising tennis player training under Serena Williams' former coach. Tyson has expressed pride in her plans to turn professional by 2025. Milan also runs her own fashion line.

The youngest, Morocco Elijah, 13, shares his sister's passion for tennis and his father's love of boxing. He also enjoys golf and athletics.

"Well, listen, there's a long journey because everything didn't start out the way it is today," Tyson told USA Today. "You know, I was a young kid. I was really basically only based my life on my career. I didn't think much about my children. I was very self-centered at that time.'"

As a result, Tyson said, he did not have a good relationship with his children.

"As time went on in life, going through adversity, we've grown and gained a bond and we're friends now," he said. "But I had to go through the difficulties to receive the ease and I'm very happy to have gone through the difficulties with them.’"
