Wheelchair Tennis Team heads to Rabat for 2026 ITF World Cup Africa Qualifiers
The Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) Wheelchair Tennis Team has departed for Rabat, Morocco, to participate in the 2026 ITF BNP Paribas World Team Cup Africa Qualifiers. The tournament is scheduled to take place at Club Wifaq Tennis in Rabat from March 30 to April 3, 2026.
Team Ghana will compete in the men’s division, represented by experienced wheelchair tennis player Bernard Yawson and promising junior Emmanuel Amosogo Amobire. The team is accompanied by Coach Daniel Kwakye (Okoro) and team official Godfred Ansong, representing Ghana Wheelchair Tennis.
Following an impressive performance last year, where the team secured a bronze medal, Team Ghana is optimistic about achieving even greater success in this year’s competition.
The team extends its sincere appreciation to H.E. Mrs. Charity Gbedawo, Ghana’s Ambassador to Morocco, for her support. They also acknowledge the contributions of the National Coordinator of Ghana Wheelchair Tennis, Henry Larbi; GTF President Mr Isaac Abe Duah; all sponsors supporting Coach Okoro; and Many Miles Travel & Tour for their timely assistance in making this trip possible.
