3rd US-Ghana Business Expo Roundtable slated for Sept
The 3rd US-Ghana Business Expo Roundtable and B2B Matching has been scheduled for September 16 to 22, 2024, in Philadelphia and Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States of America (USA).

Powered by the US-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Philadelphia, the week-long event is on the theme: “Anchor of African connectivity”.
Key sectors identified for this year’s event are agriculture, energy, healthcare, transportation, trade and investment.
The rest are Fintech, real estate and technology.

The event this year is funded by a major grant from the Office of International Business Development of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which is looking to maximise partnering opportunities for existing growth businesses in Ghana to support capacity building, scaling up and market expansion.
Major supporters and partners include Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, World Trade Center, Department of International Business Development of the State of Pennsylvania, United States Commercial Service, Fox Business School and Millersville University.
Timing
The event comes at a time when the Government of Ghana is pushing to strengthen trade ties between the country and USA as it encourages businesses from both countries to forge greater ties.
Turnaround
The President of the chamber, Florence Torson Hart, told the Daily Graphic that this year’s event was a major scale up of the first two which were also on record to have been highly successful.
“We know the strengths and potential of Ghanaian companies, and through our chamber, we want to match these businesses with US companies, particularly those in Philadelphia.
The sectors identified are strategic and are expected to meet the aspirations of players in those sectors.
She urged Ghanaian businesses to position themselves for the event and leverage every opportunity that availed itself for their mutual benefit.
Itinerary
Mrs Torson Hart said the companies, big and small, in Philadelphia were ready for business and it would take open and frank discussions on both sides to reach deals that could lead to joint ventures, among others.
She said this year’s event would begin in Lancaster PA, which was home to numerous manufacturing, construction, IT and agricultural industries, and included multiple site visits, networking and Business to Business opportunities for two days. After two days the delegation will visit Philadelphia for the next four days
Registration is currently open till June 15, with additional information available at the offices of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and Agrihouse Foundation.
