Jintao Sanitary Ware Ghana Ltd unveils factory in Takoradi
Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd, a leader in sanitary ware production, has officially opened a factory in Takoradi, Ghana.

The facility, part of the China-based Hwani Group, specializes in the production and distribution of bathroom products including sanitary ware, bathtubs, and bathroom furniture.
Located in Takoradi's industrial area, the new factory is expected to lower the cost of sanitary ware in Ghana by providing high-quality products at competitive prices. It will also create much-needed jobs for the local community, with over 90 percent of the company's workforce comprised of Ghanaians.
Speaking at the launch, Marketing Director Ophelia Zhang noted that Jintao has a daily production capacity of over one million products. Of these, 30% will be sold locally, while the remaining 70% will be exported, contributing to Ghana's foreign exchange earnings.
“Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd has operated in Ghana for over two years. Our workforce is made up of 90% local staff, providing valuable skills and employment opportunities for Ghanaians,” Madam Zhang said.
The opening ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Charles Bissue, the New Patriotic Party's Parliamentary Candidate for Essikado-Ketan.
He praised the company for creating jobs in the region and emphasized the factory's role in Ghana's industrialization efforts, a key part of President Akufo-Addo’s vision.
Mr. Bissue remarked, “The factory has brought employment to the area and will help boost foreign exchange earnings by exporting products from our free zones enclave, a crucial step in Ghana’s industrial development.”
