Otumfuo calls for support of local craftsmanship

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has urged Ghanaians to support indigenous businesses that demonstrate excellence in craftsmanship and innovation.

“I encourage all Ghanaians to take pride in supporting local talent,” he stated.

The Asantehene made this call during the Awukudae Festival at the Manhyia Palace, where Patrick Amofah, CEO of Warrior King Watches, presented a custom-made solid gold Warrior King Pièce Unique timepiece to him and his wife, Lady Julia Osei Tutu.

The event highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting Ghanaian artistry while reinforcing the role of local industries in fostering national pride and gaining global recognition.

"I commend the team at Warrior King for their commitment to producing world-class products that reflect the values and craftsmanship of our people," Otumfuo said.

Mr. Amofah described the presentation as a token of appreciation for Otumfuo’s continuous support for the brand and local artisans. He noted that the watch was designed with intricate details that reflect the heritage and traditions of the Ashanti Kingdom.

“We are deeply honored to receive the blessings of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. His recognition inspires us to continue pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship,” he said.
