Black Star Experience partners Sports Ministry and Boris Kodjoe on World Cup travel opportunities

Ghana’s bid to maximise opportunities around the 2026 FIFA World Cup has received a boost following a strategic partnership discussion between the Black Star Experience, the Ministry of Sports and Recreation and international actor and entrepreneur, Boris Kodjoe.

The engagement, facilitated by the Black Star Experience and led by its Coordinator and Presidential Staffer, Rex Owusu Marfo, brought together key stakeholders to explore ways of promoting sports tourism and creating travel opportunities for Ghanaians ahead of the global football showpiece in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Also present at the meeting were Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Authority, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, and Chief Director of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, Wilhemina Asamoah.

During the discussions, Boris Kodjoe introduced his travel and lifestyle company, Full Circle Streamline Travel, co-founded with Chantel Foli, and outlined plans to roll out specially curated World Cup travel packages for Ghanaians.

According to him, the initiative seeks to make it easier for Ghanaian football fans to travel and support the Black Stars at the tournament while also creating business links between Ghana and the United States.

He further noted that the World Cup presents a unique opportunity to strengthen diaspora engagement, cultural exchange and international partnerships through sports tourism.

Minister Kofi Adams welcomed the initiative and described it as a timely intervention that aligns with government’s broader vision of using sports as a catalyst for national development, tourism growth and global visibility.

He stressed the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors in expanding opportunities for Ghanaians to participate in major international sporting events.

The meeting also highlighted the growing role of the Black Star Experience in connecting global Ghanaian talents and investment opportunities to national development priorities, particularly within the tourism, sports and creative arts sectors.

The Black Star Experience, Ghana’s flagship cultural and tourism brand platform, continues to position itself as a bridge between local and international audiences by promoting the country’s cultural identity, tourism potential and creative excellence on the global stage.
