The National Theatre will host yet another staging of the Evolution concerts organised annually by contemporary Ghanaian gospel music group, Impact Project Ministry on Sunday March 1.

This year’s event dubbed Evolution 9, The Cross Effect would present a live stage drama interspersed with music and dance to entertain patrons. 

Another highlight of the event would be homecoming element, which would see previous members of the Impact Project Ministry choir join current members to perform a number of songs and activities. 

Among the special guests to grace the occasion with features and ministrations include Cwesi Oteng, Calvis Hammond (Joyful Way Incorporated), Pastor David Nana Asamoah, Pastor Isaiah, Naa Mercy, Passionate People, Worship in Motion among others. 

Two previous Evolution concerts were nominated for the annual Africa Gospel Music Awards staged in UK in 2010 and 2011 and there is growing anticipation among music fans as to what to expect this year. 

Impact Project Ministry is a non-denominational ministry, which is focused on evangelism, and ministry through contemporary music and drama as well as a desire to help the needy in society. 

Its unique music style incorporates crossover contemporary elements with African rhythms and live ministrations in order to win souls for Christ. 

The Impact Project has groomed a number of musicians in the gospel music industry in the country. They include Opoku Agyemang and Emmanuel Bludo Jnr of PL Crew, David Tagoe of Overflow, Jay Zymera of Cwesi Oteng Ministries, Jervis Djokoto of WMI who will grace this year’s edition.
