This fourth edition started with 19 selected children in October last year but the number was cut down to 10 following weeks of eviction.

The Amazing Child reality show which started in 2010 is aimed at shaping the talents of young people towards the projection of African values. It was also initiated to bring out the “Africanness” and “Ghanaianness” in the children by teaching them various African cultures and for them to appreciate their cultural heritage.
This year’s theme, Let’s Celebrate Our Own was in commemoration of TV Africa’s 10th anniversary celebration.
“It became necessary for TV Africa to roll out Amazing Child following the realisation that most young people had misdirected their creativity towards copying foreign values and culture and neglecting our indigenous art forms,” said a TV Africa official.
