The 36-year-old rapper is reported to have flown into a rage and punched an 18-year-old man outside a building near Wiltshire Boulevard at 12:15pm after the unidentified teenager allegedly hurled racial insults at Kanye's fiancee, Kim Kardashian and the surrounding paparazzi.

According to CNN, the Beverly Hills Police Department have released a statement confirming Kanye is a suspect in the investigation.

“Mr. West had left the location prior to officers arrival. As of this writing, BHPD Detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation,” the police department said.

“The named suspect was identified as Kanye West by the victim and several witnesses.”

According to TMZ, the young man began using offensive language towards the paparazzi whom he called “n*****s” and “f*****s,” prompting Kim to order him to stop.

However, he retorted back: “F**k you b***h. Just trying to help you. Shut up n****r lover. Stupid s**t,” before also allegedly issuing a death threat. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is said to be considering filing a police report of her own.

New Slaves rapper, Kanye is already facing criminal charges of battery and attempted grand theft related to an altercation with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport last summer.

Blair Berk, a lawyer for the rapper, entered a not guilty plea in court last November on Kanye's behalf and the next hearing is set for January 23.
