Dupri, who founded So So Def Recordings in 1993, is known for his work in Southern hip-hop, R&B, and bass music, having managed successful artists such as Kris Kross, TLC, Bow Wow, and Usher.
There are strong speculations that the two artists will collaborate, with Gambo being expected to perform at Dupri's So So Def Recordings' 30th-anniversary festival in Atlanta, which will take place from September 29 to October 1, 2023.
Gambo, who recently signed with Ghanaian-Liberian actor and comedian Michael Blackson's management label, could potentially become the first Ghanaian artist to collaborate with the iconic music producer.
His US tour, which began in February, aims to promote Ghana's positive aspects on the global stage, with his music videos showcasing the country in a positive light. This potential collaboration with Dupri is a significant effort to bridge the gap between Ghana, Africa, and the United States.
