Gospel artiste Prophet Seth Frimpong is dead
GOSPEL musician Prophet Seth Frimpong who is known for popular songs such as Okumchola and Mehuris) has died.
The singer reportedly died in the early hours of Friday, April 24 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi after an illness.
Prophet Seth Frimpong, who was also known as the 'Dancing Prophet' made the headlines in 2017 when he spoke about how diabetes had left him bed-ridden.
In an interview on Abusua FM, he talked about how he had been abandoned since he became ill.
“By the grace of God, I have been able to groom a lot of pastors and Gospel musicians like Brother Sammy, Christiana Love, and a host of others yet none of them have paid attention to me.
“It is only Brother Sammy who has been able to visit me a couple of times,” he said.
Giving details about how diabetes had disrupted his life Prophet Seth Frimpong said at a point he went blind.
“I went blind, I was in my room and wanted to visit the washroom but all of a sudden I couldn’t see anything.
"It happened for three days but I didn’t tell anybody in this house. I promised myself never to let anyone know about it because I believed I would see again,” he said.
Some of Prophet Seth Frimpong's songs are Adansidie, Nyame Animonyam, Ade A Nyame Aka, Enkosi Aga, and many others.
