The album had the popular Ayeyi Ndwom song which earned him the Gospel Song of the Year award at the Ghana Music Awards the following year.

But the Sacrifice artiste will flow in torrents with more creative juices with his second album, Saviour, which had the popular African Borborbor in 2012.

And after three years, the award winning artiste is back with his third album titled, I Believe which is scheduled for release today.

“My management and I had to take time to work on this new album because we didn’t want anything below the standard that was set on previous albums. The brand has grown to be identified with quality and that has been the inspiration behind the I Believe album,” he told Showbiz on Tuesday.

“This new album seeks to inspire Christians and people from all walks of life to appreciate the work of God and to believe in the saving power of God in times of difficulties,” he added.

The album, which will be ready for all digital download platforms such as Deezer, Amazon and itunes from tomorrow features Joyce Blessing and Jack Alolome.

The 11 - track album which has songs such as Afutusem, Woye Nyame and Hour By This Time has some of the country’s finest sound engineers like Nacy, Dave Joy, Shadrack Yawson, Daniel Bassey and Kumais based Collinstee work on the production and instrumentation.

“Nothing good comes on a silver platter and the target for this album isn’t just for Ghana but the whole of Africa so we needed the best hands to work on it and Ghanaians will be the judge when the album hits the market ,” SP Sarpong said.

Apart from his profession as a Superintendant of Police where his job entreats him to protect and provide security for the citizens, the Ayeyi Ndwom artiste told Showbiz his “divine duty” is to “bring hope to the hopeless through his songs”.

In an interview with Mr. Ernest Kwesi Ennin of Media Excel, managers and producers of SP Sarpong, he said his outfit is dedicated to bringing a new definition of gospel music to receive equal attention with that of secular music.

“Music is dynamic and as such, gospel music must trend with the changing times and I believe this is just part of that revoltution,” he added.
