Ghanaian gospel musician MOGmusic has attributed the massive turnout at his Back to Basics Worship Experience at the OVO Arena Wembley in London to God, describing the gathering as a manifestation of divine grace.
Thousands of worshippers gathered at the iconic venue on Saturday, August 22, for an evening of worship, prayer and reflection centred on returning to the foundations of the Christian faith.
Reflecting on the event in a social media post, MOGmusic expressed gratitude to God and everyone who attended, insisting that the glory belonged to Jesus.
“This can only be God and it is marvellous in our sight! We are going Back to the Basics of our faith in the Lord Jesus,” he wrote.
In another post, an overwhelmed MOGmusic said he was humbled by the turnout, noting that the gathering was focused entirely on worshipping God.
“We danced in His presence. We sang to the audience of one. We bowed as we acknowledged Jesus. The glory is to no man but to the Master Jesus. I take no glory for myself,” he stated.
He also thanked the thousands who turned up for the worship experience and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their faith.
“God bless you all for coming in your numbers. I remind you to stay in His presence,” he added.
The event brought together worshippers from across the United Kingdom and beyond for an extended night of worship, prayer and intercession under the Back to Basics theme.
The vision behind the gathering was to strip away distractions and encourage believers to return to the core principles of the Christian faith, including Jesus, prayer, worship and surrender.
The night featured ministers and worship leaders such as Emmanuel Smith, Warehouse Worship, Israel Houghton, Ntokozo Mbambo and Ghana's Joe Mettle, who led worshippers through different moments of praise and worship.
When MOGmusic took to the stage, he expressed appreciation to the thousands gathered and also acknowledged his pastor, Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah, for his guidance and leadership.
Through songs and prayer, MOGmusic led the congregation into intense moments of worship and intercession, with the event taking on the atmosphere of a revival gathering.
The event also created an opportunity for attendees to support the work of Compassion through charitable donations, encouraging worshippers to extend their faith beyond the arena by responding to the needs of others.
For MOGmusic, taking Back to Basics to the OVO Arena Wembley marked another significant milestone in a ministry that began in Ghana and has continued to reach audiences around the world.
However, for the gospel musician, the success of the gathering was not about personal achievement.
“The gathering shall be unto the Lord!” he declared.
