The President of WITA, Ms Leonora Buckman told the Daily Graphic the clean-up would be a monthly affair. “The Business Health Clean up is a monthly exercise targeted at the various health installations and hospitals in the country.

“Health facilities are mostly neglected when it comes to sanitation with the view that they can cater for themselves. Although they do, we believe that when we join forces, we can get all the health facilities across the country clean and healthier

“In view of this, we have decided to clean all these health centres on a monthly basis with the use of entertainment to garner enough support from the business world and make it more appealing to the public,” she said.

The exercise was sponsored by Homebase TV, HM Films, City Gold and Brogha Polythene.

Women In The Arts was founded in October 2008. It is made up of actresses, musicians, dancers, models, radio/TV presenters, make-up artists, clothes and beads designers etc.

WITA has supported artistic legends such as the late Awurama Badu, Wofa APC, Grace Nortey, William Addo, Emmary Brown and a host of others.
